The Pontiac cooking program has emerged as one of the most enjoyable activities at camp. It is housed in an exceptionally beautiful and functional state of the art kitchen. It is managed by Karen Etra, our own in house owner/chef with three chef assistants. Each and every camper has the opportunity to learn how to prepare, cook and ultimately enjoy a variety of culinary delights ranging from appetizers, desserts to full meals including Italian, Mexican, Asian and Shabbat dinners. Older campers enjoy longer sessions in Karen's Kitchen and prepare an evening meal together enjoyed as a group out on the deck.At the more advanced level we encourage our campers to use their culinary flare and create their own signature dish. During Color War those skills are pitted against each other in our annual Chopped Challenge.
